Home Deep Fryers

This is the new deep fryer I bought not too long ago. It is very hard to find a nice deep fryer that is healthy for human. They all advertise about chrome color outside, and making it look like restaurants use. However, the materials used inside is lousy.

My old one was tiplone coated. Well, do you know how bad teflon to our health? Most does know and some does not care, but I do. The heating element of the above image looks like it was made from aluminum. After receiving it and cheacking everything that is what I saw.

I tried locating something better or one said that it's made with materials I would like to use, but none available. Companies never mention anything on what kind of metal they use inside.

Water Distiller

This is another great buy for my family. You can't believe how much junk we got rid off from our well water. I will be more scared if we have city water. I can't imagine the chemicals they put in it. The only bad thing is this thing run with electricity, meaning if the electric is off, we can't have clean water.

I can also tell the difference when drinking it. I always feel full, and I think this is good for those who are trying to loss weight. Just make sure you do not store the distilled water in the plastic container. Plastic has more chemicals in them, you can buy the drink chiller in Walmart for less than $3. My youngest son already broke one. I bought 2 the first time I went there, and I just went back and got 2 more just in case someone drops one again.

Water Distiller
The distiller is very easy to clean. Just add some vinegar and fill it up with water and let it boil until the bottom is gunkless, it usually takes about 25 minutes. Ours can make 5 gallons a day. However, we only make 3 gallons a day because we don't have a lot of containers to store it. Plus, we use less than 3 gallons a day.

As you all know, distilled water has nothing, just plain water. So, if you store it in plastic, you are only sucking the chemicals in plastic and added to your everyday consumption of water. Water that is bought in store is filled with chemicals. I can't tell you what kind, but I can tell you that they are bad for your health.

Now, I need to learn how to make our own juice that is not pasteurized, like the one we buy in store. If I can only get my kids to drink distilled water and raw milk. They do drink some but not all the time.

Mr. Coffee Maker

Mr. CoffeeLike everything else these days, nothing last the way we expect them to be. We are on our third one of this product. Last year we got one around winter and it lasted until May. We got one in June and it lasted until early this month. We use it everyday and when we have company we have to brew two or three times a day. Which by the way not very often. My PIL comes once a week if they are not doing anything and sometimes never if they are busy.

On the weekend you can be sure that we brew at least twice. I know they are not very expensive but I hoping for this thing to last at least a year. Maybe the price is only good 3 months and if we want something to last a year we need to buy four times the amount of this one. I wish I am an engineer and I can easily whip one of things we need at home. Yes, that and a farmer, a doctor and a lawyer and we are all set...lol. Yes that would be nice.

Copper Bottom Stainless Steel Pots & Pans

We been using this pots and pans for 5 years now. At first we were looking to buy just plain copper pots and pans but we can't afford the prices. Just one pots is half of the price for the whole set of what we bought. Don't get me wrong we like to be healthy but we draw a line somewhere. Maybe we can own just one copper pots. However, I came across some study that what we have is still not good. And even the iron pan is not fine either because man don't get a monthly period to get rid of the iron deposit and too much of it is bad. Now I heard that clay cooking wear is way better than all the items I mentioned above.

Before aluminum hits Philippines my parents used clay pots. Then aluminum came and they switched and still use them until now. I don't need to educate you about aluminum. I will probably get Alzheimer because of it.

Silver is good too in moderation.

Lets get back to my pots and pans. I like using it because it holds the heat once they are heated. When I cook vegetables I bring it to almost boiling then I turn the burner off and keep the lid on. They always comes out just right with a little crunch in them. Cleaning it after cooking something greasy is tough. Sometimes I had to boil water on it to get rid of it. Sometimes just soaking in soapy warm water will do it and steel wool helps too. However, it came with caution not to use steel wool. It says that it will scratch the surface when using it, but I still do because I want a clean pots and pans.

The set that we bought did not come with 12 inch pan. I had to buy it separate from Emeril L. collection. He was the only one who has the biggest pan five year ago. I am very happy with the set and for $200.00 I think it's it.
