Patty Maker/Press

We had a birthday party for our 5 years old on Saturday and the last time we had a party, my family or should I say DH family did not like what I prepare. I know they like hotdogs, hamburgers, pizza and potato and macaroni salad. Plus they are not an eater, they only eat so little and my MIL does not anything but organic potato chips and the rest are blended fruits or vegetables. She drinks her food but eats potato chips.

Flatten the hamburger
I went to the grocery store Friday afternoon. While I was picking the ground beef I saw this, a patty mold. I been looking for this thing for a long time because I like making my own patties. I found out Saturday that I need to really press the ground beef together so that they stick together. My first batch did not turn that well because they kept breaking when I turn it on the grill. It was a messed. The second batch I tried so hard to press together. Then it was hard to get it out of the press. I had to run a knife around the side to get it out. Maybe next time I will put a plastic wrap on the press for easy removal.

Press together
This one actually is not what I wanted. However, for now this one will do because I don't have any money to buy the metal one. It does the job and I can make my own patties. I will experiment with the patties next time maybe add some ingredients that I like with it. DH likes his hamburger plain with only ketchup. Sometimes I like a change, it may not be for the good but trying new flavor to know if I like it or not.

Make sure they stick together

Harry Potter (The Half Blood Prince)

Product Reviews von mir
Watching a movie with a child younger than 5 is real challenge. I could have hang my DS upside down if I could. We went to see the movie on Saturday. You can see on the ticket the date and time we went. We went to see it at 10 in the morning expecting that there are less people inside the theater. Boy, was I wrong, I guess they had the same idea plus going to the movie before 12 noon is way cheaper. Yes, we only paid $4.00 a head and we spend the rest of the budget on food.

Harry Potter did not fight much in this movie. I don't really know what I missed because having a 3 year old inside the movie theater I am prepare to miss parts of it. I thought there will be a lot of dating scene and lovey dubey part but not much. Or maybe I missed them when I was outside tending to my little one who wanted to go at the middle of the movie. I did not see the part when Hermione and Ron kissed. Malfoy could have killed Dumbledore but Snapes had to step up and do it.

It seemed like not finish to me at the end. I know there is the book number 7, but at the end of this movie seems not at the end. Maybe because I am waiting for them to burry Dumbledore, I don't know. I should probably start reading the book 7 to find out what will happen next.

I love watching Harry Potter movies, and I will give it 7 stars. We usually wait for the DVD to comes out but since we have Fandango dollars and our youngest child is 3 yearls old I thought it would be nice to see it in the theater. Maybe we should have waited 3 more years to take everyone with us. so, have you seen it yet?

Starfall dot com

Product Reviews von mir
I got this site from the yahoo group of cyber schooling. My kids started in cyber school October and November last year and my youngest son started playing since then. About a week or two into it he already knew the alphabets and sound. He does not play with it much these days. I think he got board pretty fast.

Mind you he was taking speech therapy from March 08 until February of 09. At this time I am very surprise on how he is already caught up with his speech. Sometimes I question myself and taking a second look on who was talking. "Did it really came from my 3 year old son? Try it out, you will be amazed how much your toddler love to learn.

I have the site under my children favorites. Because sometimes I can't get the letter sound out right from my mouth and I just open this, play the letter and problem solve. Being born into a non-English speaker parents, this site is my lifesaver.
